Hi my name is Josh, and I’m a techno-holic. With no previous experience or interest in computers, I first embarked on my IT career in 1997 when I took some certificate prep classes at Boston University. After the classes I took an entry-level position with a technical consulting company in Boston that was doing a CCMail to Lotus Notes migration for a large investment firm. I bounced around from contract to contract for a few years, learning what I liked, and more importantly what I didn’t like about IT.
In July of 2000 I took a Network Administrator position with my current employer, which has lead me further into this career than I ever could have expected. I’m currently holding the title of Network Manager with 5 direct reports, overseeing 8 offices across North and South America. I love it here, and I can’t imagine working anywhere else!
Outside of work I’m busy raising a family, running a small web hosting company, and trying to find time for fun, although that’s a battle I’ve been losing for a while.
So, that puts me at roughly 11 years of working history in IT. I’ve learned more than I thought possible, and I welcome the onslaught of ever-changing information with open brain. That’s enough for this page, I’ve got some writing to do!
